BlueOcean is hiring an experienced full-stack engineer to work in embedded product engineering pods supporting American AI and technology startups. The ideal candidate must be highly skilled, fast, reliable, and capable of building production-quality software across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and deployments. This role is for engineers who can work in extreme startup environments where priorities move fast, quality matters, and deadlines are tight.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and improve web applications, APIs, backend services, and frontend interfaces.
- Work across the stack using modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and client teams.
- Translate product requirements into clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and demos.
- Integrate third-party APIs, AI tools, payment systems, authentication systems, and cloud services.
- Write clean, tested, documented, and production-ready code.
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and production defects.
- Move quickly while maintaining engineering quality and reliability.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, Django, FastAPI, Laravel, Go, Java, or similar.
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, databases, authentication, and cloud deployment.
- Strong database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar.
- Good understanding of software architecture, testing, debugging, performance, and security basics.
- Experience working with Git, pull requests, CI/CD, issue trackers, and agile workflows.
- Excellent English communication and ability to work with US-based teams.
- Experience with AI products, LLM integrations, RAG, automation tools, or agentic systems is a strong advantage.
