We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including hands-on experience building Finance/ Fintech products from scratch. He/She will play a critical role in designing the technical foundation of our financial platform, ensuring reliability, security, and reliabilty from day one.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and development of a fintech web and mobile financial platform from scratch
- Design and implement secure, scalable backend systems for financial transactions
- Develop and maintain responsive frontend interfaces (React/Next.js or similar)
- Build and document secure RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Architect financial logic, including wallets, ledgers, interest engines, loan disbursement, and repayment workflows
- Integrate with Nigerian financial infrastructure (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave, Mono, Okra, Safe Haven MFB, etc.)
- Implement strong security standards (OAuth2, JWT, encryption at rest and in transit)
- Ensure system reliability through automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E tests)
- Optimize application performance for high-traffic and high-volume transactions
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX, Frontend, Backend, Mobile Developers, DevOps, Product, and Compliance teams
- Enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and technical best practices
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the engineering culture
Requirements:
- Minimum BSC
- 7 years of previous experience in a similar role
Strong backend experience (Node.js with TypeScript
NestJS/Express OR equivalent modern backend framework)
Strong frontend experience (React
Next.js
or similar modern framework)
Deep understanding of financial systems (payments
lending
wallets
reconciliation
audit logs)
Experience integrating with payment gateways and financial APIs
Strong knowledge of database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching systems (Redis)
Experience with cloud infrastructure
Strong system design and architectural skills
Experience working in high-availability production environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
