About the Role

VivaJets is one of West Africa’s leading business aviation operators, holding a Nigerian Air Operating Certificate and operating charter services across Africa. We are growing and we need a senior flight operations specialist and trip planner who can run complex African operations with precision, speed, and zero hand-holding.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You will own the dispatch and trip planning function for a dynamic charter operation spanning multiple countries, aircraft types, and regulatory environments. If you thrive on complexity, tight timelines, and getting flights off the ground when others can’t then read on.

What You’ll Own

🛫 End-to-end trip planning and flight dispatch for VivaJets charter operations across its routes.

🛫 Overflight and landing permit coordination across multiple CAAs — ASECNA states, NCAA (Nigeria), GCAA (Ghana), ANAC (Côte d’Ivoire)

🛫 Navigation fee management, ANSP coordination, and pre-departure compliance

🛫 Weather analysis, NOTAM review, fuel planning, and route optimisation

🛫 Crew briefing packages and pre-flight documentation for captains

🛫 Handling agent coordination at destination airports across the region

🛫 Real-time flight monitoring and post-flight reconciliation

🛫 Supporting the development of dispatch SOPs and operational standards

What We’re Looking For

✅ 5+ years in flight dispatch or trip planning — business aviation or charter environment preferred

✅ Strong hands-on experience with African, European and Middle Eastern routing and permit processes

✅ Proficiency in flight planning software — ForeFlight would be a massive advantage.

✅ Solid understanding of ICAO flight plan formats, ATC procedures, and African FIR structures

✅ Ability to manage multiple simultaneous trips under time pressure without losing detail

✅ Excellent English communication; French is a strong advantage

✅ Experience at a Gulf-based flight support company or business aviation operator strongly welcomed
