Our client in a financial institution is seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Manager to lead the development of product-led partnerships with businesses that require Their Finance’s infrastructure.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, structure, and negotiate strategic partnerships with fintechs, payment providers, and enterprise clients across Africa.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align partnership opportunities with their infrastructure capabilities and roadmap.
  • Use data modelling, market sizing, and financial analysis to evaluate and prioritize business opportunities.
  • Drive their go-to-market strategy in new regions and verticals, leveraging local insights and global trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, product leaders, and ecosystem partners.
  • Represent them at industry events, panels, and forums; contribute to whitepapers and strategic content.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development—preferably in fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals and building scalable partnerships.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and market analysis tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of the African fintech landscape is a strong advantage.
