Senior Audit Associate

Responsibilities:

Audit Execution:

• Perform audit procedures in accordance with approved audit plans and programs.
  
• Prepare and review audit working papers to ensure accuracy and compliance with ISA.
  
• Execute substantive testing, analytical reviews, and internal control evaluations.

Supervision & Team Support:

• Supervise, guide, and review the work of Audit Associates and interns.
  
• Provide on-the-job training and technical support to junior staff.
  
• Escalate audit issues and risks to the Audit Manager in a timely manner.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Review clients’ financial statements for compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
  
• Identify accounting issues, control deficiencies, and audit risks, and propose practical solutions.
  
• Assist in the preparation of management letters and audit reports.

Client Interaction:

• Liaise with client personnel to obtain audit information and resolve audit queries.
  
• Maintain professional relationships with clients throughout audit engagements.
  
• Support Audit Managers during client meetings and closing discussions.

Audit Planning Support:

• Participate in engagement planning, including risk assessments and understanding of clients’ businesses.
• Assist in budgeting, time management, and monitoring engagement progress.

Use of Technology:

• Utilize audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit efficiency and quality.
  
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of audit files.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in an audit firm
• Professional certification (ACA/ACCA) is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Auditing Standards (IAS)
• Familiarity with automated audit software
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
