Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos for a Senior Associate. The Senior Associate will handle complex legal matters, prepare legal documentation, represent clients in court proceedings, and provide strategic legal advice. Additional responsibilities include conducting thorough legal research, collaborating with clients to develop case strategies, and mentoring junior attorneys within the firm. The Senior Associate will contribute to the firm's ongoing success in achieving favorable outcomes for its clients.

Qualifications

• Exceptional legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents.
• Strong litigation and advocacy skills, with experience in dispute resolution and court appearances.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
• A deep understanding of Nigerian law and demonstrated ability to apply legal concepts effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide mentorship to junior associates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) and call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) are mandatory. A master’s degree in Law or related fields is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-call legal experience, with a focus on dispute resolution or similar practice areas.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-stakes cases under tight deadlines, with attention to detail and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in legal technology and software is a plus.
