Senior Accounts Manager
Job summary
The Senior Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the Company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely invoicing, payment processing, bank reconciliations, payroll preparation, and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Record all financial transactions accurately and promptly in the Company's accounting system.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices based on approved dispatch records and maintain an updated sales invoice register.
- Monitor customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain an accurate debtors ledger.
- Verify supplier invoices against approved purchase orders and delivery documents before processing payments.
- Prepare supplier payment schedules and process approved payments in accordance with Company procedures.
- Prepare monthly payroll schedules using approved HR payroll data for review by the Head of Finance.
- Assist in preparing statutory schedules and supporting documentation for PAYE, VAT, NHF, pension, and other regulatory filings.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounting documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's financial policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports as required by the Head of Finance.
- Support budget monitoring, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely processing of financial transactions and documentation.
- Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by the Head of Finance or Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred or in progress.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in accounting or finance, with experience in a supervisory role being an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
