Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Handling the questions from clients
• Bookkeeping
• Filing of PAYE, NHIS, NHF, WHT, VAT, and others
• Closing accounts support and Declaration of Corporate Income Tax
• Verifying the interpretation of the Income Tax Act and practical guidelines
• Consulting and Advisory support
• Collecting receipts or uploading receipts to Cloud storage
• Sales and Marketing
• Visiting clients
• Other activities at the request of the manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Master’s degree will be preferable 
• Qualified Certified Public Accountant in Nigeria
• 5 years experience in the finance/accounting/tax matters
• Understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Tax office online service experience
• Experience in tax filings such as PAYE, NHIS, NHF, WHT, VAT, and CIT etc.
• Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Accounting software – QuickBooks is preferable
• Building an internal control system
• Experiences as an internal auditor
• Understanding of international taxes – transfer pricing, thin capitalization, etc.
