Job summary
Ensure accurate financial reporting, controls, accounting operations, compliance, and timeliness of financial information. The role provides strategic financial insight, supports decision-making, and ensures adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements within the maritime and offshore services environment.

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead the preparation and review of Monthly Business Review (MBR) reports, including detailed variance analysis of actual performance against budget.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support management decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of cash flow statements, budget performance reports, and financial forecasts.
Accounting Operations & Control:
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records, including General Ledger (GL) management and reconciliations.
- Supervise and review GL movements, revenue and expense analysis, and account reconciliations.
- Conduct and oversee forensic reviews of discrepancies, ensuring resolution and compliance.
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls and financial governance processes.
Payables, Receivables & Treasury Management:
- Oversee verification of payment documentation and approval processes.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and timely updates of debtor/creditor balances.
- Supervise cash management activities, including disbursements and liquidity monitoring.
- Ensure efficient working capital management.
Period-End Close & Audit Support:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial entries.
- Review and validate all postings to ensure cohesiveness and compliance with accounting standards.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring the timely provision of required documentation.
Compliance & Statutory Reporting:
- Ensure all tax filings and statutory reports are accurately prepared and submitted within required timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards, ensuring full compliance.
- Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies where required.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Support the Finance Manager in budget preparation, monitoring, and control.
- Track and analyze budget performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and reporting efficiency.
- Ensure effective utilization of ERP/accounting systems for accurate financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum MBA/ MSc.
- 10 years of previous experience in a similar role.
