Senior Academic Writer

Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and edit complex academic documents, including essays, dissertations, research proposals, and reports, ensuring all work is original and meets the highest academic standards.
  
• Consistently deliver work tailored to the specific academic conventions and expectations of clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of different educational systems.
  
• Apply and enforce strict adherence to a wide range of referencing and citation styles, including but not limited to APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, and OSCOLA.
  
• Ensure the quality of all personal output is consistently high, with a minimum acceptable grade equivalent to a B grade or 65%.
  
• Act as a mentor and guide for junior academic writers and interns, helping them to develop their research, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  
• Conduct thorough editorial reviews and provide constructive, detailed feedback on the work of junior team members, focusing on clarity, structure, and academic integrity.
  
• Contribute to the development and refinement of internal writing and quality assurance processes to enhance team efficiency and output.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Academic Writer.
  
• A minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) degree from a recognized institution.
  
• Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  
• Exceptional ability to quickly research and write on diverse, unfamiliar subjects.
  
• Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, fully remote environment.

Remuneration: NGN 200,000 - 250,000
