Security Technician

Responsibilities:

• Install CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion hardware cabling and other forms of cabling as technology continues to evolve.
• Working on home alarm systems, business security systems, and other safety devices such as closed-circuit video surveillance and fire alarms
• Testing and servicing of installed equipment, such as cameras, card readers, and alarm points to any system and providing basic programming.
• Performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing systems and/or equipment.
• Participating in an on-call rotation schedule.
• Availability to answer client calls after normal working hours and on weekend/holidays
• depending on the rotation order.
• Updating the CEO on the status of all work performed on a daily basis.
• Notify CEO daily of any materials needed to complete duties.
• Perform additional Security Technician and related functions as assigned by the CEO and deemed within the general skill and ability level of a productive Security Technician in the industry.

Requirements:

• BSc Graduate with a minimum of Second class (lower) in any technical or engineering field.
• Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion, installation & programming for any such security systems.
• Required to adhere to Nigerian laws on Safety Standards and Data Protection.
• Safety Training certification will be an added advantage.
• Receive professional and technical knowledge by attending manufacturer training, seminars, conferences, etc when made available by the manager.
• Attend all team training and safety meetings.
• All employees will be required to pass all background checks, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
