Security Guard
Job summary
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the bakery premises, staff, customers, assets, inventory, and equipment. The Security Guard shall control and monitor all movement into and out of the bakery, verify customer purchases, and ensure compliance with security procedures.

Responsibilities:
Access Control:
- Monitor and control entry and exit of all customers, visitors, suppliers, and staff.
- Ensure only authorized persons gain access to restricted areas.
- Maintain a visitor log where applicable.
- Direct customers and visitors to the appropriate departments or personnel.
Customer Monitoring and Assistance:
- Welcome and direct customers professionally.
- Monitor customer movement within the premises.
- Provide basic assistance and information to customers when required.
- Ensure orderly customer flow during peak business periods.
Verification of Purchases:
- Double-check customer receipts against purchased items before customers exit the premises.
- Verify delivery notes, invoices, and sales documents accompanying goods leaving the bakery.
- Report any discrepancies immediately to management.
- Prevent unauthorized removal of bakery products, materials, equipment, or company property.
Security Operations:
- Conduct regular patrols of the bakery premises, production areas, storage rooms, offices, and parking areas.
- Monitor for suspicious activities, theft, vandalism, fire hazards, or security breaches.
- Ensure all gates, doors, and access points remain secure.
- Maintain vigilance during opening and closing procedures.
Asset Protection:
- Safeguard bakery equipment, vehicles, inventory, raw materials, and finished products.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities.
- Verify authorization for all goods entering or leaving the premises.
Incident Reporting:
- Record and report all incidents, accidents, theft attempts, damages, or unusual occurrences.
- Prepare daily security reports for management review.
- Cooperate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire outbreaks, medical incidents, security threats, or disturbances.
- Assist in evacuation procedures when required.
- Ensure emergency exits remain unobstructed at all times.
Compliance and Conduct:
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Treat customers, staff, and visitors with courtesy and respect.
- Observe confidentiality regarding bakery operations and company information.
- Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and security procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Vocational.
- No experience/ less than 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Zero unauthorized removal of products or company property.
- 100% verification of receipts and sales documents.
- Accurate daily security reports submitted.
- Prompt reporting of all incidents and suspicious activities.
- Consistent punctuality and attendance.
- Professional customer interaction and assistance.
