Security Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Security Architect to design, implement, and oversee secure architectures across enterprise systems and client environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, cloud security, and enterprise architecture, with the ability to translate complex security requirements into scalable, practical solutions.

This role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical depth and architectural leadership, ensuring that security is embedded into systems from design through deployment.

Key Responsibilities🔹 Security Architecture & Design

• Design and implement end-to-end security architectures for enterprise systems and client environments.
• Develop secure system designs across cloud, network, application, and infrastructure layers.
• Embed security principles into system architecture (secure-by-design approach).
• Define and maintain security standards, frameworks, and best practices.

🔹 Cloud & Infrastructure Security

• Architect secure solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design and implement identity and access management (IAM) strategies.
• Secure cloud-native applications and containerized environments.
• Oversee network security architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation.

🔹 Risk Assessment & Threat Modeling

• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for systems and applications.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate security risks in new technologies, integrations, and third-party systems.
• Provide guidance on risk-based decision-making.

🔹 Governance, Compliance & Frameworks

• Align architecture with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and PCI-DSS.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational security requirements.
• Support audit processes and security assessments.
• Develop and enforce security policies and controls.

🔹 Collaboration & Advisory

• Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to implement secure solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity across the organization.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities by designing secure solutions for client proposals.

🔹 Security Operations Support

• Provide architectural oversight for incident response and security monitoring systems.
• Guide implementation of SIEM, SOC, and threat detection solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and evolving security technologies.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with significant experience in security architecture.
• Strong expertise in enterprise security architecture and secure system design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, and infrastructure security.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and security protocols.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS).
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA, CCSP, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a cybersecurity consulting or services environment.
• Experience designing security for enterprise or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC.
• Experience with SIEM, SOC, and security monitoring tools.
