We are a growing, mission-driven Christian secondary school located in the Ogunmakin region, dedicated to providing high-quality and transformative education to our community. As we undergo an exciting expansion to double our student capacity, we are actively seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Secondary School Teacher (Arts).
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive, engaging lesson plans in your respective subject area, aligned with the national curriculum (WAEC/NECO).
- Administer tests, examinations, and continuous assessments to evaluate and track student progress.
- Maintain excellent classroom management and enforce school discipline in a manner consistent with our Christian values.
- Keep accurate administrative records, including attendance registers, grading books, and student performance reports.
- Identify students who require extra help and provide necessary academic support and mentorship.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school management to foster a positive, holistic learning environment for all students in the Ogunmakin region.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an H.N.D in the relevant subject area. A Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.
- Deep knowledge and mastery of the specific subject you are applying to teach.
- High moral standards, integrity, and a willingness to work within a faith-based, Christian educational framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to relocate to or commute within the Ogunmakin region (Free staff accommodation is provided).
- Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an added advantage.
