Our client, a reputable and established school is seeking an experienced School Bursar to join their administrative leadership team. As the School Bursar, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations and accounting functions of the school. This includes overseeing accounts receivable and payable, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with all relevant financial regulations. The Bursar serves as a key member of the school's administrative leadership team and works closely with the Principal, Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders. The School Bursar manages the school's financial operations and accounting, including accounts, payroll, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This key leadership role requires strong financial management skills and a commitment to supporting the school's mission.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage all school financial accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash flow
- Oversee the accounting and bookkeeping for the school, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the Principal and Board of Trustees
- Develop and manage the school's annual operating budget in collaboration with the Principal and other administrators
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and accounting standards
- Manage the school's banking relationships and investment portfolio
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Supervise the school's finance and accounting staff
- Serve as a key point of contact for parents, vendors, and other external stakeholders on financial matters
- Participate in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience as a school bursar or in a similar senior-level financial management role
- Strong knowledge of school finance, accounting, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in financial software, spreadsheets, and other relevant technology
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
