Job summary

The Barbing Salon Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the salon, ensuring excellent customer service, driving revenue growth, managing staff performance, and maintaining high grooming and hygiene standards. The Manager will ensure the salon operates efficiently while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the salon.
  • Ensure the salon opens and closes according to schedule.
  • Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
  • Supervise barbers, supervisors, receptionists, and other salon staff.
  • Develop staff schedules and manage attendance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching where necessary.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new employees.
  • Develop strategies to increase customer retention and salon revenue.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
  • Promote salon services and products.
  • Build relationships with customers and handle escalated complaints.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies when necessary.
  • Ensure proper stock control and prevent wastage.
  • Manage cash handling and daily financial reporting.
  • Prepare operational and sales reports for management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in salon management, hospitality, retail, or customer service management.
  • Previous experience managing teams and operations is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Sales and business development capabilities.
  • Inventory and financial management skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
