Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers, offer assistance, and create a welcoming and friendly shopping environment. This includes actively listening to their needs and addressing complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Sales and Product Knowledge: Provide detailed information about a wide range of products, their features, and pricing. This involves staying up-to-date on new merchandise and promotions to make suitable recommendations and upsell/cross-sell items effectively.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process sales, returns, and exchanges using a point-of-sale (POS) system or cash register. This requires basic math skills and attention to detail when handling various payment methods.
- Merchandising and Stocking: Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, organize shelves and product displays, and replenish stock as needed. This may also involve assisting with inventory counts and receiving shipments.
- Store Operations: Collaborate with team members to ensure the store is clean, organized, and safe for both customers and staff. May assist with opening and closing store procedures.
- Meeting Sales Goals: Work toward achieving individual and team sales targets and quotas established by store management.
