Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Sales Representative role based in Benin City, with a mix of on-site client visits and some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Representative will identify and onboard new restaurant, kitchen, and grocery partners, building strong long-term relationships with local vendors. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting, scheduling and attending sales meetings, presenting BestfoodMarket’s value proposition, and negotiating partnership agreements. The role also involves tracking sales activity, maintaining accurate records in the CRM, and collaborating with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth vendor onboarding and performance. The Sales Representative will monitor market trends, gather feedback from partners, and support initiatives that drive revenue growth and expand BestfoodMarket’s presence in Benin City.
Qualifications

  • Proven sales, business development, or account management experience, ideally in e-commerce, FMCG, or food and beverage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort with fieldwork in Benin City, including regular vendor visits, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic proficiency with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and online collaboration platforms to track leads, pipeline, and performance metrics.
  • Customer-focused mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  • Familiarity with the local food market and vendor landscape in Benin City is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
