Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social selling (especially LinkedIn), networking events, and referrals.
- Conduct in-depth needs analyses with potential clients to understand their energy consumption, goals, and pain points. Design and propose tailored system configurations using our hybrid inverters and lithium batteries.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products, including their features, benefits, and technical specifications. Articulate complex concepts like self-consumption, backup power, and ROI in simple, compelling terms.
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and professional quotes and proposals for clients, ensuring all financial incentives (e.g., tax credits, rebates) are clearly communicated.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing and handover to the installation/project management team.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, installers, and key channel partners.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and government policies related to solar energy and storage.
- Diligently use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- Existing network of contacts within the solar or electrical installation industry.
- Experience in creating and delivering sales presentations to both individuals and groups.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and explain complex products.
- Prior experience with hybrid inverters, lithium batteries, or solar PV systems is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality, driven to seek out and close new business opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and the Microsoft Office/Google Workspace suites.
- A genuine passion for sustainability and the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of success in a B2B sales role, preferably within the solar, renewable energy, electrical, or related technology industry.
