Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager (Agricultural Machinery)

Job Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Zoomlion’s market share in the agricultural sector. This role involves developing regional sales strategies, managing dealer networks, and leading promotional activities for high-tech machinery, including tractors, combine harvesters, and drying equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
Target Achievement: Take full ownership of annual and quarterly sales targets and payment collection for agricultural product lines.
Pipeline Management: Identify and pursue high-value opportunities with commercial farms, agricultural cooperatives, and government intervention projects.
Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations for key accounts and large-scale equipment tenders.
2. Channel & Dealer Management
Network Expansion: Recruit, vet, and manage local dealers and distributors to ensure wide geographical coverage.
Performance Monitoring: Set KPIs for dealers and providing the necessary marketing and technical support to help them meet sales goals.
Retail Presence: Oversee the construction and branding of regional terminal stores and exhibition centers.
3. Marketing & Brand Positioning
Promotional Campaigns: Execute "Above the Line" (ATL) and "Below the Line" (BTL) marketing activities, including field demonstrations and trade fair participation.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, product features, and market trends to provide actionable insights to HQ.
Digital Presence: Coordinate with marketing teams to enhance local social media engagement and brand visibility.
4. Operations & Financial Oversight
Financial Channels: Coordinate with credit managers to establish financial/leasing options for customers, utilizing subsidy policies where applicable.
After-Sales Alignment: Work closely with the service and spare parts teams to ensure a seamless "sale-to-service" transition, ensuring long-term customer loyalty.
Reporting: Prepare detailed sales forecasts and market analysis reports for department leaders.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is an advantage.
Industry Experience: 6+ years of experience in sales and marketing within the heavy machinery or agricultural equipment industry.
Managerial Experience: At least 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the technical specifications of tractors, harvesters, and smart agriculture technology.
Required Skills
Strategic Planning: Ability to align sales activities with agricultural planting and harvesting seasons.
Communication: Fluency in English (working language) and the ability to negotiate with diverse stakeholders, from rural farmers to government officials.
CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM software (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel for data tracking.
Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively to rural farming hubs and regional business centers and have your own car
Ideal Candidate: should ideally have existing relationships with the Ministry of Agriculture, large-scale rice/maize growers, and key financial institutions providing ag-tech loans.
