Responsibilities:
- Acquire and manage high-value clients by identifying SMEs, corporates, HNIs, importers, exporters, and businesses with significant cross-border payment needs.
- Build and own a strong sales pipeline through referrals, partnerships, cold outreach, market research, existing relationships, and targeted sector-based prospecting.
- Lead senior-level sales conversations with business owners, finance leaders, executives, and decision-makers, clearly communicating FxBridge’s value proposition and payment solutions.
- Qualify and close more complex deals by understanding client transaction volumes, corridors, payment pain points, decision-making process, pricing expectations, and service requirements.
- Drive revenue growth and transaction volume by meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets, converting qualified opportunities, and increasing repeat transactions from existing clients.
- Manage strategic client relationships by serving as a trusted point of contact, maintaining strong communication, resolving issues proactively, and building long-term client loyalty.
- Support clients through onboarding and transaction execution by explaining documentation requirements, compliance steps, payment processes, and working with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Collaborate closely with treasury, compliance, and operations teams to ensure clients receive reliable service, competitive pricing, timely updates, and strong end-to-end transaction support.
- Support and mentor junior sales team members by helping with prospecting, meeting preparation, objection handling, follow-up discipline, and deal closing.
- Contribute to sales strategy and market focus by identifying priority sectors, client segments, partnership opportunities, sales process improvements, and areas where FxBridge can grow revenue more effectively.
- Help build and manage a small sales pod over time once individual sales performance has been proven, including supporting team targets, coaching team members, and driving accountability.
- Provide clear sales visibility to leadership by tracking pipeline activity, client feedback, closed deals, revenue performance, market insights, and key blockers affecting growth.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, relationship management, fintech, banking, FX, payments, or a related financial services field.
- Proven track record of acquiring, managing, and growing corporate clients, HNIs, SMEs, or other high-value client relationships.
- Strong ability to generate leads, book meetings, run polished client conversations, manage a sales pipeline, negotiate, and close deals.
- Experience selling financial products, payment solutions, FX services, banking products, or B2B services to decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of FX, international payments, cross-border transactions, client onboarding, and transaction execution.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently, including founders, business owners, finance managers, CFOs, and corporate decision-makers.
- Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to identify profitable opportunities, prioritize high-value clients, and manage pricing conversations professionally.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to move prospects from first conversation to active, repeat clients.
- Ability to mentor junior sales team members and support a high-performance sales culture.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to provide input on target markets, sales channels, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial attitude, with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Remuneration: NGN 800,000 – 1,200,000 monthly
Compensation:
- Performance Incentives: In addition to base salary, the Sales Manager will be eligible for performance-based incentives tied to achievement of both monthly and quarterly targets.
- Incentives will be based on clear sales performance metrics, including revenue generated, transaction volume, new clients onboarded, repeat transactions, pipeline quality, and overall contribution to business growth.
- As the role grows into team or pod leadership, performance incentives may also include team-based targets linked to the performance of junior sales team members under the Sales Manager’s supervision.
- Performance will be reviewed monthly and quarterly, with incentives awarded based on achievement against agreed targets.
