We are looking to hire a Sales Manager (Open Market) to join our team.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, onboard, and nurture relationships with key wholesalers and distributors who can significantly drive product sales and coverage within assigned territories.
- Develop and execute open market sales strategies to increase product reach, optimize routes, and deliver sales volume and value targets.
- Implement effective route-to-market plans that ensure product accessibility, pricing consistency, and stock availability across key trade zones.
- Ensure effective product distribution and market coverage across assigned areas, maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring product visibility.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with wholesalers, sub-distributors, and open market leaders to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and consumer preferences; provide actionable insights to improve sales strategies and trade execution.
- Drive product visibility through merchandising, signage, and other trade marketing initiatives that support brand awareness in the open market.
- Track daily and weekly performance metrics; prepare accurate reports and forecasts to inform sales planning and management decisions.
- Work closely with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure alignment in distribution planning, promotional activities, and account management.
- Monitor sales performance of assigned wholesalers and retailers, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and driving consistent growth.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3 years’ experience in sales, account management, or trade marketing.
- Experience in open market or distributor sales within the FMCG or beverage industry;
- Experience with premium spirits or alcoholic beverages is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal communication
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing accounts.
- Strategic thinking and ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong presentation and product demonstration skills.
- In-depth understanding of open market sales and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of competitive market dynamics within the premium spirits sector.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and data reporting systems.
- Managing brand activations, events, and promotions.
- Knowledge of wholesaler and retailer trade dynamics
- Familiarity with route-to-market and territory management.
Renumeration: NGN 500,000
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos.
Work Hours: 9: 00 am - 6: 00 pm; Monday - Friday
