Job summary
Our client is seeking a highly experienced, results-driven Sales Manager – Governmental & Institutional Sales to drive revenue growth across governmental and institutional accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing tenders and proposals, and building long-term partnerships with public sector organizations, NGOs, educational institutions

Responsibilities:
- Account Development: Identify and pursue sales opportunities with government ministries, agencies, state-owned enterprises, universities, hospitals, NGOs, and other institutional clients.
- Tender & Proposal Management: Prepare, coordinate, and submit competitive bids and proposals in line with public and institutional procurement processes.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers, directors, and key decision-makers in target organizations.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with technical, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure proposals are compliant, feasible, and competitive.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate sales pipeline records and forecasts while providing regular performance updates to management.
Target Achievement:
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for government and institutional accounts.
- Market Intelligence Monitor budgets, policy changes, and upcoming projects to identify new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2G, B2I, or B2B sales, preferably handling government or institutional accounts.
- Proven track record of winning tenders and managing large accounts.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes for government and institutional buyers.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity with strong knowledge of compliance and ethical standards.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to convert opportunities into contracts.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in regulated environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and e-procurement portals.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
