Sales Engineer and Manager
Job summary
We are seeking a sales Engineer and manager (engineering discipline) to manage and drive a commission-based sales team while providing strong technical support. Key responsibilities include sales team management, KPI enforcement, quote creation and review, and technical customer engagement to improve conversions and close rates.

Responsibilities:
- Support proposal/quote development, technical explanations, and solution positioning for clients.
- Manage and supervise a commission-based sales outreach team, ensuring daily and weekly KPIs are met
- Enforce sales KPIs related to outreach volume, follow-ups, pipeline progression, and close rates
- Track, analyse, and report sales performance, conversion rates, and pipeline health
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective lead handoff and follow-up discipline
- Provide technical sales support to the team, including solution clarification and engineering input
- Ensure accurate CRM usage, lead tracking, and reporting across the sales team
- Identify gaps in the sales process and implement improvements to increase conversion efficiency
- Maintain strong sales discipline, accountability, and performance standards within the team
Requirements:
- Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related discipline)
- Proven experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or sales management
- Strong understanding of solar power systems, energy solutions, or technical services
- Experience managing or coordinating sales teams with performance targets
- Strong ability to track KPIs, close rates, and sales pipeline metrics
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- Highly organised, disciplined, and performance-focused
- Strong communication and leadership skills
