As a Sales Lead at Hadi Finance, you will drive MSME customer acquisition and manage field agents in Abuja. You'll map trade clusters, lead team strategy to hit disbursement targets, and ensure high portfolio quality.

Responsibilities:
Field Sales & Customer Acquisition:
- Own the acquisition of new micro-retailer and FMCG distributor customers across Abuja
- Identify and map high-potential markets, trade clusters, and distribution channels
- Build direct relationships with market leaders, association heads, and key distributors
- Drive conversion from lead to first disbursement — and ensure early borrower satisfaction
- Personally close deals in the field when required, especially for high-value or complex customers
- Drive ongoing savings mobilisation from micro-retailers and informal traders — building consistent deposit habits, not one-off contributions.
Team Leadership & Agent Management:
- Develop plans to hit daily, weekly, and monthly targets — tracking progress, identifying blockers early, and escalating issues at the right time.
- Conduct regular sales meetings across the sales team to review performance, share market feedback, and align on priorities.
- Build a team culture that values accuracy, speed, and integrity in the field.
- Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain a clear, accurate pipeline of prospects at each stage of conversion
- Report weekly on acquisition numbers, conversion rates, agent performance, and market feedback
- Flag early signals of repayment risk or borrower dissatisfaction to the ops team
- Provide ground-level market intelligence to leadership — competitor activity, pricing feedback, demand signals
Process & Compliance:
- Ensure all customers onboarding follows Hadi’s verification and documentation requirements.
- Work closely with the ops team to ensure field-collected data is accurate and complete.
- Maintain zero tolerance for falsified borrower information or agent misconduct.
- Support the ops team with repayment follow-ups where field presence is required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of field sales experience
- Experience with fintech/FMCG and a proven ability to scale sales in informal markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field — what matters far more is what you’ve done
- Mandatory background in fintech agent networks, FMCG distribution, microfinance, or last-mile financial services
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading on-ground sales teams
- Proven track record of hitting acquisition or distribution targets in informal markets
- Experience working directly with micro-retailers, market traders, or informal business owners is a strong advantage
- Deep understanding of informal trade and market-based customer acquisition
- Strong agent and team management — can develop plans to meet targets, track performance, and hold people accountable
- Commercially sharp — understands unit economics, conversion rates, and what drives portfolio quality
- Clear communicator — can brief agents simply and report to leadership accurately
- High personal drive — competitive, self-motivated, and comfortable with pressure
- Integrity — trusted to manage agents and borrower relationships without cutting corners
- Must be based in Abuja
