Sales Executive
Job summary
The Sales Executive supports Awari’s revenue operations by assisting in the execution of day-to-day sales activities, including lead generation, client outreach, follow-ups, proposal preparation, and sales administration. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role plays a key part in maintaining an active sales pipeline.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Client Engagement
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to identify potential clients.
- Research and compile lists of prospective businesses that align with Awari’s target market.
- Schedule discovery calls and demos with interested prospects.
- Follow up on inbound leads from website, newsletter, and event registrations.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions using CRM tools
- Sales Administration & Support
- Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, contracts, and presentations for new business.
- Coordinate with design, editorial, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of client deliverables.
- Update and maintain CRM data (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Prepare reports on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and activity metrics.
- Track and manage sales documentation, including contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.
Client Retention & Onboarding:
- Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they understand their campaigns and content placements.
- Handle initial client inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
- Monitor client satisfaction and assist with renewal conversations as needed.
Revenue & Partnership Growth:
- Support initiatives to upsell and cross-sell existing clients (e.g., digital ads, print features, events, etc.).
- Assist in identifying partnership opportunities that can expand Awari’s revenue streams.
- Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to develop compelling offers for businesses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or any related field
- A minimum of 1-3 years of progressive sales experience in Tech, Lifestyle, or Media
- Track records of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Resides in Lagos and understands it’s territorials (Island or Mainland)
- Excellent understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing
- Knowledge in Tech sales is an advantage
