Job summary

The Sales Executive supports Awari’s revenue operations by assisting in the execution of day-to-day sales activities, including lead generation, client outreach, follow-ups, proposal preparation, and sales administration. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role plays a key part in maintaining an active sales pipeline.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Client Engagement
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to identify potential clients.
  • Research and compile lists of prospective businesses that align with Awari’s target market.
  • Schedule discovery calls and demos with interested prospects.
  • Follow up on inbound leads from website, newsletter, and event registrations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions using CRM tools
  • Sales Administration & Support
  • Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, contracts, and presentations for new business.
  • Coordinate with design, editorial, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of client deliverables.
  • Update and maintain CRM data (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Prepare reports on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and activity metrics.
  • Track and manage sales documentation, including contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.


Client Retention & Onboarding:

  • Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they understand their campaigns and content placements.
  • Handle initial client inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and assist with renewal conversations as needed.


Revenue & Partnership Growth:

  • Support initiatives to upsell and cross-sell existing clients (e.g., digital ads, print features, events, etc.).
  • Assist in identifying partnership opportunities that can expand Awari’s revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to develop compelling offers for businesses.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or any related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of progressive sales experience in Tech, Lifestyle, or Media
  • Track records of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Resides in Lagos and understands it’s territorials (Island or Mainland)
  • Excellent understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing
  • Knowledge in Tech sales is an advantage
