International Business Group (IBG)

As part of a strategic focus on expanding international business, a dedicated International Business Group (IBG) was established to drive the globalisation of product businesses, including Heating, Cooling, Steam Accessories, Water & Waste Solutions, Air Pollution Control, and Solar.

IBG is responsible for markets across South‑East Asia, SAARC, the Middle East, and Africa. The organisation is seeking a dynamic professional to lead strategy and business development across these regions. This role is suited to individuals motivated by international market challenges and keen to contribute to the next phase of global growth.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions using the organisation’s product portfolio
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of boilers, steam accessories, steam traps, energy efficiency solutions, and heat exchangers
  • Travel extensively to visit customers, maintain updated call schedules, and report activities through internal systems
  • Achieve order booking targets (value and number of orders) in line with the Annual Business Plan for assigned territories and product lines
  • Understand boilers and heaters operating on oil, gas, and solid fuels, including various fuel combustion processes
  • Coordinate with head office and regional teams on offers, orders, payments, and customer service
  • Provide accurate order booking forecasts, lead pipelines, and prospect reports to support business growth
  • Identify and maximise cross‑selling opportunities
  • Own the enquiry management process from lead generation through to order closure
  • Develop relationships with OEMs, consultants, and EPCs
  • Support business development and promotion initiatives, including case studies and customer testimonials
  • Act as a single point of contact for customers across multiple product divisions and functions (sales, service, supply chain)
  • Provide inputs on:
  • New product development
  • Pricing strategy
  • Entry into new market segments
  • Changes in industry norms
  • Win–loss analysis


Job Specifications

  • Essential Qualification: BE (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical)
  • Experience: 4–8 years

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and hierarchies within a matrix organisation
  • Strong networking skills and a customer‑centric sales mindset
  • Ability to build in‑depth knowledge across multiple product lines
  • Commercial acumen, with contracting and negotiation capability
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work effectively within multicultural teams
  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories
  • Valid driving licence and passport required


Experience / Exposure

Candidates with experience in thermal and steam engineering, including boilers, absorption chillers, water treatment, and air pollution control systems, will be strongly preferred.
