Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards across the workplace.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Organize and deliver safety training, inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, properly used, and maintained.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, monitor safety performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in a relevant field.
- Basic knowledge of HSE standards and workplace safety.
- Must be able to identify workplace hazards and promote safe work practices.
- Possess good communication and reporting skills.
- Relevant HSE certifications will be an added advantage.
