Risk & Fraud Associate

Responsibilities:

• Monitor bets, deposits, withdrawals and account activity for signs of fraud or abuse.
• Investigate suspicious cases such as multiple accounts, bonus abuse, arbitrage or syndicate betting, and payment fraud.
• Carry out KYC checks and customer due diligence, and escalate higher-risk accounts for enhanced review.
• Review and approve or flag withdrawal requests in line with risk rules.
• Apply controls such as alerts, limits and account restrictions to reduce risk exposure.
• Escalate confirmed or suspected fraud to senior risk, compliance or legal teams.
• Prepare regular reports on fraud trends, incidents and losses, with clear recommendations.
• Work closely with Customer Support, Operations, Finance, Compliance and Trading teams.

Requirements:

• HND in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• 1-3 years of work experience. Internships and NYSC placements count.
• Some knowledge of risk management, fraud prevention, KYC, or AML is a strong advantage.
• A good understanding of sports betting, odds and how bet slips work.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot patterns others miss.
• Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to write simple, accurate reports.
• Good judgement, integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Certifications in risk, fraud or AML (e.g. ACAMS, CFE) are a plus, but not required.
• Must be based in Abuja and able to work from our office.
