A leading Nigerian real estate & construction media brand (~1M followers, 4 platforms) needs an operator to run its email & automation funnel end-to-end — every sequence, tag, recovered checkout, and the revenue it collects. Strategy and systems are built; you own the machine and the number. AI-fluent, precise, accountable. Hybrid, Lagos.

Responsibilities:
Email & Automation Ownership:
- Own every email sequence end-to-end: publish state, trigger bindings, copy freshness, and the weekly audit that proves each sequence is live and firing. A sequence's health is its published email count, not its email count.
- Own the DM-automation flows that feed the email list — keyword triggers, delivery, fallbacks — on an Instagram-class automation platform.
- Run the weekly broadcast: drafted with AI under your direction, reviewed by you, approved by the Founder before sending.
List Economics:
- Own list growth, segmentation, deliverability, and the list-to-buyer conversion rate. You inherit clean, verified baselines and are expected to move them.
- Design and run re-engagement of dormant lead pools — thousands of captured leads with no active path today. This is your flagship project after stabilization.
Checkout & Recovery:
- Own abandoned-checkout recovery: rates measured, sequences tuned, every recovered payment attributed.
- Watch the delivery streams daily — lead-magnet delivery, post-purchase onboarding, receipts. Dashboards exist; reading them is your habit, not a task.
Live Events Funnel:
- Own registration, reminder and post-event nurture plumbing for paid live events (multiple per quarter — the largest revenue line in the business).
- Reporting
- Ship a Friday metrics summary: collected revenue, list growth, conversion, anomalies. AI compiles it, you verify it, and the Founder reads it in five minutes.
Requirements:
- You have personally built and run email automations end-to-end on a ConvertKit-class platform (Kit/ConvertKit, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign or similar) — tags, triggers, sequences, deliverability. Not supervised. Built.
- You can read a webhook log and an API response without flinching. You do not need to code for a living, but payloads do not scare you.
- You use AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT or similar) daily, as a matter of course, with results you can show — you direct them to diagnose, build and verify, and you can prove it.
- You think in funnels and measure in naira collected — not opens, not impressions, not vibes.
- Audit discipline: you check publish-states and trigger-bindings the way an accountant checks reconciliations.
- Lifecycle or automation experience in Nigerian e-commerce, ed-tech, fintech or the creator economy is a plus.

What This Role Is Not:
- Not a content-creation or social-media-manager role. The calendar and the posts are owned by the content function.
- Not a sales role. Conversations with buyers are owned by the client-relations function — you build the rails those conversations run on.
- Not a slide-deck strategist seat. You will not be diagramming funnels — you will be operating them, hands on the keys.
- Not an agency-coordination role. Everything is in-house. You are the in-house.
Who Should Apply:
- You are probably running lifecycle, growth or automation marketing somewhere right now that proves you can ship. But you have hit the ceiling at your current role: the systems you want to run do not exist there, or someone else owns the number. Here, the machine is built, the audience is enormous, and the number is yours on day one.
