Retail Manager
Job summary
We are seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of the store and ensure that set targets are met.

Responsibilities:
- Create a unique retail experience in the store, following brand guidelines
- Develop and execute creative merchandising layouts for the store
- Work with the management team to set annual budgets and targets
- Manage budgets, profit and loss accounts, and monitor performance against agreed KPIs
- Develop and maintain systems to ensure sufficient stock levels at all times
- Analyse sales figures, interpret trends, and forecast future sales volumes to grow profit
- Identify potential income generation opportunities with the management team
- Ensure all business development activities support revenue growth objectives
- Work with the sales team to develop limited edition commissions and multiples from exhibiting artists
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through meetings, audits, and store walk-throughs
- Evaluate performance issues and actively recruit retail candidates
- Provide support in identifying brands to be featured in the store portfolio
- Monitor low-performing brands and suggest strategies for performance improvement
- Effectively resolve customer complaints
- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events and displays
- Keep abreast of market trends to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure the store complies with all legal, health, and safety guidelines
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- BSc./HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Retail Manager
- Experience in the luxury lifestyle industry is an advantage
- Professional certification will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of the fashion/retail industry
- Good knowledge of sales software, data entry, and understanding of business policies and procedures
- Ability to create spreadsheets, charts, and presentations
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to prepare management reports and correspondence
- Excellent time management, organisational, planning, and coordination skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Passionate about fashion, design, art, culture, and luxury
- Must be organised, detail-oriented, and professional in attitude and appearance, with good judgement, and have a friendly personality
