Research & Development Analyst/Officer

• Conduct in-depth research on mortgage markets, housing finance trends, and regulatory developments.
• Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate mortgage-backed securities (MBS), structured products, and related investment vehicles.
• Identify emerging opportunities in mortgage lending, securitization, and secondary markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (risk management, trading, advisory) to design innovative investment solutions.
• Prepare research reports, white papers, and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Monitor macroeconomic indicators, interest rate movements, and housing market dynamics to assess potential impacts on mortgage investments.
• Support client engagements by providing data-driven insights and scenario analyses.
• Contribute to product development initiatives, including new mortgage-linked investment instruments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s or CFA preferred)
• 5 - 7 years of experience in investment banking, mortgage finance, or structured products research. 
• Strong understanding of mortgage markets, securitization processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and statistical tools (Excel, Python, R, SQL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
