The role involves researching and reporting on developments across Nigeria’s oil, gas, and energy infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will produce accurate, insightful, and data-driven content for industry professionals, policymakers, investors, and stakeholders across the energy value chain.

Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and report news stories, features, interviews, and analytical articles.
- Cover upstream, midstream, downstream, gas infrastructure, LNG, pipelines, marginal fields, and policy/regulatory developments.
- Monitor announcements and publications from regulators, operators, and industry institutions.
- Conduct interviews with industry stakeholders, including executives, consultants, and regulators.
- Ensure content meets professional journalism standards for accuracy, balance, and credibility.
- Work closely with editors to meet publication deadlines.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and briefings, and provide timely coverage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Energy Studies, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of reporting or editorial experience.
- Prior experience covering oil & gas or energy sectors is a strong advantage.
- Strong writing, research, and interviewing skills.
- Ability to interpret technical, commercial, and regulatory information clearly.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Professional judgment and strong editorial ethics.
