Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- You will call businesses from lists we provide, using a power dialler, and book qualified meetings into the founder's calendar.
- You are not closing deals.
- Your job is to open the conversation, qualify the prospect, and set the appointment.
Requirements:
- A completed Bachelor's degree (BSc) from a recognised university.
- NYSC completed or exempt.
- At least 3 years of outbound calling experience: cold calling, telesales, or appointment setting. Inbound customer support alone does not qualify.
- Clear, confident spoken English that North American listeners understand easily on a phone line.
- An audio recording of a call role-play, submitted as a shareable link. Details below.
- Wired internet, a headset, and a quiet room.
- Availability Monday to Friday during Eastern Time business hours.
The audio role-play:
- Record yourself, 90 seconds maximum, doing a cold call opener to the owner of a 50-person Canadian company.
- Cover your opener and reason for the call, one qualifying question, your response to the objection "we already have someone for that", and your ask for the meeting.
- Upload it to Google Drive or Dropbox and put the link in your cover letter.
- Set sharing so anyone with the link can listen. We do not open password-protected links.
- Recordings longer than 90 seconds will not be reviewed.
- Applications with no recording will not be reviewed.
Remuneration:
- Guaranteed monthly base of USD 75, paid whether or not you book.
- USD 7 for every held, qualified meeting.
- USD 100 for every meeting you book that becomes a paying client, paid after the client pays.
- Expected total of USD 100 to 150 per month once you are ramped, base plus meeting bonuses, before any client conversion bonus.
- A meeting is held when the prospect attends and stays at least 15 minutes.
- A meeting is qualified when the company matches our target size, the contact has budget authority over compliance, and there is a live driver such as a SOC 2 audit, a security questionnaire, or a customer security review.
- No-shows and reschedules do not count.
Targets:
- 100 dials per day on the power dialler. We expect 4 to 6 real conversations per day and 2 to 4 held meetings per week once you are ramped.
- There is a 30-day trial with a minimum booking target.
Nice to have:
- Experience calling Canada or the United States.
- Experience selling into IT, fintech, or professional services.
- CRM discipline with HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar.
- No cybersecurity or compliance knowledge is required. We train that.
What we provide:
- Power dialler and phone number, call lists, scripts, objection handling training, a booking link, and direct access to the founder.
