Job summary

The role is open to experienced financial services professionals across different levels of seniority, provided they can demonstrate a proven track record of achieving targets and building customer relationships. Candidates should have strong market knowledge, an active customer or referral network in Abuja, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to the bank’s growth from the outset.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilise deposits from retail, SME, and corporate customers.
  • Originate quality loan opportunities in line with the bank’s credit and risk standards.
  • Build, manage, and deepen profitable customer relationships.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across Abuja.
  • Develop and manage customer and referral pipelines.
  • Support balance sheet growth through disciplined business development.
  • Meet agreed deposit, loan, and customer acquisition targets.
  • Maintain proper customer documentation and follow-through.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure good service delivery and customer retention.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar relationship, sales, or business development role within a commercial bank, microfinance bank, fintech, cooperative, or wider financial services organisation.
  • Proven experience in deposit mobilisation, loan sales, customer acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Demonstrable record of achieving or exceeding commercial targets.
  • Existing customer, prospect, or referral network in Abuja.
  • Good understanding of retail, SME, and/or corporate customer segments.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially driven, disciplined, and target-oriented.
  • Must currently be living and working in Abuja.
