Relationship Manager
Job summary
The organisation is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Relationship Manager to acquire, onboard, and manage SME clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing a quality loan portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, acquire, and onboard eligible SME clients.
- Build and manage productive relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Guide clients through loan applications, documentation, verification, approval, and disbursement processes.
- Drive portfolio growth by meeting assigned monthly loan disbursement targets.
- Monitor client repayment behaviour and follow up on due and overdue obligations.
- Maintain high-quality client relationships while promoting responsible lending and sound portfolio performance.
- Work closely with relevant internal teams to ensure timely loan processing and an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client, pipeline, disbursement, and repayment records.
- Provide market intelligence, client feedback, and competitor insights to support product improvement and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit, documentation, customer management, and reporting processes.
- Prepare periodic reports on client acquisition, portfolio performance, disbursements, repayments, and pipeline activity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in sales, relationship management, SME lending, credit, microfinance, or financial services.
- Demonstrable experience acquiring and managing business clients.
- Good understanding of lending, credit assessment, loan documentation, and repayment processes.
- Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a client pipeline, and consistently achieve assigned targets.
- Strong attention to detail, commercial judgement, integrity, and customer-service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Candidates residing in or able to commute conveniently to Ibeju-Lekki and surrounding areas will have an advantage.
