Job Description/Requirements
Job Title: Registered Nurse
The role involves assessing patient needs, providing direct clinical care, and supporting doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to clinical standards.
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IVs, injections, wound care, and other nursing procedures.
Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation in line with hospital policies.
Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and participate in life-saving procedures (e.g., CPR).
Ensure infection-prevention, safety, and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
Coordinate patient care, communicate updates, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Monitor patient recovery and report changes in condition.
Typical Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) certification
Valid license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
Additional training (ICU, ER, pediatrics, public health, etc.) is a plus
1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
