Regional Security Advisor

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on regional security, local governance, and community dynamics to support company operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, community leaders, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor local developments, including security, trade, and socio-political trends, and provide timely reports and recommendations.
• Plan and carry out field visits safely to gather firsthand information and verify local conditions.
• Support operational planning for business activities in African markets, ensuring alignment with local contexts and risk considerations.
• Prepare clear, actionable reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate remotely with international teams while maintaining local engagement and situational awareness.

Requirements:

• Based in Africa with strong knowledge of regional security, local governance, and tribal dynamics.
• Familiarity with NGO operations, humanitarian contexts, or local community engagement.
• Experience in coordinating with local authorities, businesses, or community leaders is highly desirable.
• Understanding of trade, logistics, or commercial operations is an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to conduct field visits safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
