Regional Sales Manager
Job summary
We are looking for a driven and commercially experienced sales professional to lead institutional business development in the Abuja region. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and signing partnership agreements with microfinance banks and financial institutions, then managing those relationships over the long term to grow their value

Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify financial institutions that are candidates for a partnership with Moneta, and build a structured pipeline of active prospects.
- Engage C-suite and senior decision-makers within target institutions to understand their priorities and present a compelling commercial case for partnership.
- Lead negotiations and close commercial agreements, working with internal teams to complete contract and compliance requirements.
- Manage every signed institutional account in your portfolio, conducting regular reviews and proactively growing the value of each relationship over time.
- Report accurately and consistently on pipeline activity, deal progress, and portfolio performance.
- Represent Moneta at industry forums and relevant professional networks within the region.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years in B2B sales, with at least 2 of those years spent selling to financial institutions, within the Nigerian banking, fintech, or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated track record of closing institutional deals independently, with evidence of quota attainment across multiple cycles.
- Demonstrable understanding of digital banking products relevant to MFBs.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills, with the ability to defend pricing structures, handle objections, and close deals without excessive discounting.

Desirable:
- Prior direct experience selling digital banking platforms, or fintech infrastructure products to MFBs or Other Financial Institutions (OFI).
- Familiarity with NIBSS NIP payment rails, PSSP/PTSP licensing categories, or virtual account infrastructure as deployed in the Nigerian market.
- Exposure to structured CRM-based pipeline management (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent).
- Experience engaging tier-2 commercial banks at a partnership or technology procurement level.
- Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in sales management, financial services, or banking technology.
