Regional Sales Manager - Animal Feed

Principal Accountabilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Area Sales Manager and field sales representative across the region, setting individual performance reviews, providing coaching and mentoring, and building a high-performance sales culture that consistently delivers results.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy for our animal feed product range, setting clear territory plans, revenue targets, and market development priorities across multiple states in the region to ensure consistent and sustainable commercial growth year-on-year.
- Take full accountability for regional revenue, volume, and margin targets, regularly analyzing performance data against KPIs, identifying underperforming territories or accounts, and implementing corrective strategies swiftly to keep the region on track throughout the year.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to plan and execute regional brand activation campaigns, farmer education programmes, field demonstration days, and trade events that increase product awareness, drive trial, and build lasting loyalty among farmers and feed buyers across the region.
- Negotiate and close high-value sales agreements, distribution contracts, and strategic partnerships at regional level, ensuring all commercial terms protect company margins, comply with pricing policy, and are structured to deliver long-term value for both the business and its partners.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activity, pricing movements, new product launches, and market trends across the region, compiling regular intelligence reports and presenting actionable recommendations to the national sales director to ensure the business maintains its competitive advantage.
- Review regional sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and budget submissions prepared by Area Sales Managers, consolidating these into an accurate and reliable regional sales plans that supports effective inventory management, production planning, and financial forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 5 years, preferably in similar business
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
