Job summary

Reporting to the Business Head, the Regional Sales Head will play an active and key role in managing a team across Sales locations to develop the branded Rice distribution business, increase market share of the current brands, and work on new product development. The Regional Sales Head will be responsible for the top line of the National Sales.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies for growing into untapped market regions, e.g., Western India.
  • Working closely with plant operations and logistics team for proper material requirement planning to ensure zero stockouts based on production and lead times, as well as forecasted demand in local markets.
  • Working directly with sales & marketing personnel to sensitize regions and markets with less awareness of products through marketing strategies.
  • Coordination of meetings with key customers and regular follow-up with customers across the Region, adding to the existing sales setup.
  • Ensuring the route to market is efficient and timely, and the channel distribution is appropriately suited for a basket of products/varieties in the Rice Segment.
  • Managing promotional/marketing events
  • Management and training of employees, incl. sales representatives and merchandisers
  • Oversight of logistics coordination for customer deliveries through distributors (local) or 3PL providers (export)
  • Coordinating with marketing agencies and internal team members to build brands, promotion strategies, including social media, and all BTL Activities across markets.
  • Oversight of sales operations for all states and all formats of the Rice Distribution business across the country


Requirements:

  • Experience of 10-15 years in the field of Food & Beverages Sales and marketing, and preferably Rice
  • Strong Communication & Diplomacy Skills
  • Knowledge of Customer Service Skills
  • An innovator and a candidate who can think outside the box
  • Co-coordinating conferences, exhibitions, and other marketing events.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, namely Word, Excel, & Powerpoint
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Illustratoris  a plus
  • Experience in the branded food & beverage industry would be a plus
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • The ability to complete projects timely (deadline-driven) and accurately is critical
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others (teamwork) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Relevant degrees and qualifications in Business Administration with concentrations in Business/Marketing or related fields
