Job Description
As a Regional General Manager SBG here at Honeywell, you will establish business plans for the region to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. You will develop marketplace opportunities, guide sales pursuits, oversee internal processes, and provide guidance to employees in the achievement of common goals. You will also ensure a safe and engaged workforce and customer satisfaction, in collaboration with the regional manager, peers, employees, and cross-functional teams.

- Drive orders growth by working with EATCA and MENA sales leadership to identify and pursue opportunities in Africa
- Ensure key deals are closed in timely way (Sonatrach, Echem, Dangote)
- Maintain senior level relationships with Tier 1 customers, Government and Industry bodies to position for opportunities as well as ensure past dues and payments issued
- Represent Honeywell PT as the senior leader for the region through conference and industry event participation
- Develop financing model for Africa to support new projects
- Align on key strategic pursuits with MENA and EATCA RGM’s to prioritise focus
- Assess and align organizational support requirements for Africa to support expansion
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new product strategies, roadmaps, go to market strategies, and product improvements across business lines aligned with the overall strategy
- Drive breakthrough initiatives and new product introductions across business lines using structured strategy deployment that provides for commercialization and quick execution
- Deliver on revenue growth, margin expansion, cost control, and aggressive time to market commitments toward the achievement of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and program commitments
- Drive strategy execution that includes product cost and pricing optimization, customer & market segmentations, channel management, RDE investments, accelerating product lifecycle improvements, and developing differentiated value propositions
- Use methodologies to create and evaluate business cases for launch
- Convert Voice of Customer and differentiated technologies to market back requirements and industry leading system solutions
- Build out business development expertise and the regional sales functions aligned to deliver on growth targets
- Develop and execute creative sourcing and supply chain strategies to support New Product Introduction, as well as legacy/late cycle product cost, inventory, and on time delivery
- Coordinate with ISC/Sourcing in support of supplier negotiations and performance management for delivery, quality, cost, inventory, and reliability, including supporting structured transition management
- Successfully lead the management operating systems to milestones, metrics, and risk mitigation with customer engagement and disciplined scope management
- Establish and nurture effective executive business relationships with key customers and suppliers/partners
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Over 6 years' of experience in guiding, strategy deployment, operations, business management, sales, or program management
- Experience in a guiding role either as a Regional Sales guide or Regional General Manager
- Experience with MNC preferred
- Established relationships with Senior industry leaders in the downstream sector in Africa
- Can demonstrate a proven track record of a business turnaround in a region
- Can demonstrate an end-to-end ownership of a STRAP cycle design, deploy, execute for at least 3 years
- Demonstrate a successor and business/sales guide succession and development plan and execution
- Strong financial knowledge on BS, P&L, Cash Flow, Working Capital mechanics
- Can demonstrate how to deploy and run a Financial Pulse MOS, as well as a Sales MOS
- High tolerance for high travel (75%)
