Job summary
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Recruitment & Compliance Officer to manage our end-to-end recruitment cycle with a specialized focus on regulatory adherence. In this remote role, you will be responsible for sourcing top-tier talent while ensuring every placement meets the stringent legal, contractual, and client-specific standards required in highly regulated sectors like healthcare, finance, and education. You will act as the gatekeeper of quality, conducting thorough audits and credential verifications to minimize risk and maintain our agency's reputation for excellence.
Job descriptions & requirements
End-to-End Recruitment Management:
- Sourcing & Attracting: Utilise various platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, niche databases) to source qualified candidates for diverse roles.
- Screening: Conduct initial resume assessments and preliminary interviews to evaluate candidate suitability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and technical needs.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the candidate journey from application to placement, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Credential Verification: Perform rigorous background checks, including the verification of professional licenses, certifications, and educational credentials.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with Nigerian Labour Laws and industry-specific regulations (e.g., healthcare or education standards).
- Document Management: Maintain organised, up-to-date digital files for all candidates, ensuring all necessary "Right to Work" and compliance documents are in place.
- Internal Audits: Conduct regular audits of placement files to identify and rectify any compliance gaps before they become risks.
Advisory & Process Improvement:
- Best Practices: Provide ongoing guidance to the team on recruitment compliance and data protection (NDPR/GDPR).
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential legal or contractual bottlenecks and implement strategies to resolve them.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly reports on recruitment metrics and compliance status for senior management.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience in recruitment, preferably within a staffing agency setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in sectors like Healthcare, Education, or Finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/SharePoint).
- Analytical Skills: High level of attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in documentation.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for a remote work environment.
- Self-Management: Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain productivity while working remotely.
