Recovery & Collections Officer

Responsibilities:

• Manage due, overdue, and defaulted loan accounts to ensure effective recovery and collections.
• Contact customers via calls, SMS, emails, and approved digital channels to collect repayments.
• Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, and payment commitments with customers.
• Monitor assigned loan portfolios and track collection performance.
• Conduct skip tracing and follow up on unreachable customers when required.
• Update customer repayment status and recovery actions accurately on the loan management system.
• Escalate delinquent or high-risk accounts for legal or advanced recovery action.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly recovery and collections performance reports.
• Work closely with credit, risk, and operations teams to minimize loan defaults.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of loan recovery, collections, and credit management processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery and collection targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan management systems.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Must own a smartphone (Android or iPhone).
