Job summary

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering a warm, professional welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth check-in/check-out processes. The ideal candidate must have prior front desk experience in a hotel and be proficient in using hotel booking software.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and handle check-in and check-out efficiently.
  • Manage room reservations and online bookings.
  • Operate the hotel management software (PMS) for guest registration, billing, and room allocation.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, calls, and emails promptly.
  • Handle payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and reports.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a hotel receptionist or front desk officer.
  • Hands-on experience with hotel reservation/management software (PMS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good appearance and professional demeanour.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in any relevant field.

  • Experience with any of the following is an advantage: Opera, Cloudbeds or Ezee FrontDesk


Location: Rayfield, Jos

Remuneration: NGN 70,000

Work Type: Full Time (Shift-based)
