Receptionist/Front Desk Officer
Job summary
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering a warm, professional welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth check-in/check-out processes. The ideal candidate must have prior front desk experience in a hotel and be proficient in using hotel booking software.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and handle check-in and check-out efficiently.
- Manage room reservations and online bookings.
- Operate the hotel management software (PMS) for guest registration, billing, and room allocation.
- Respond to guest inquiries, calls, and emails promptly.
- Handle payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily transactions.
- Provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
- Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness.
- Maintain accurate guest records and reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a hotel receptionist or front desk officer.
- Hands-on experience with hotel reservation/management software (PMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good appearance and professional demeanour.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in any relevant field.

Location: Rayfield, Jos
Remuneration: NGN 70,000
