About The Oluwanifise Foundation
The Oluwanifise Foundation (ToF) is a nonprofit improving literacy and nutrition for underserved children, with active programmes in Ibadan and Uke. We're now expanding our Reading Club to Osogbo and seeking a driven individual to help establish and lead this new chapter.
Role Overview
The Reading Club Coordinator will be the foundation's pioneer representative in Osogbo, responsible for both establishing ToF's presence in the city and delivering our literacy programme directly to children. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on teaching with programme setup, government liaison, and administrative reporting. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building something from the ground up and wants to make a lasting impact on children's education.
Key Responsibilities
Establishment & Stakeholder Engagement
- Register the foundation with relevant government bodies in Osun State
- Build and maintain relationships with the State Ministry of Education, Education Secretary, and Heads of schools
- Identify and onboard schools to participate in the programme
Programme Delivery
- Deliver ToF's established curriculum to children in weekly in-school sessions
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit varying literacy levels and classroom environments
- Foster a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages a love of reading
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and impact records
- Write regular narrative and data reports for the Foundation's leadership
- Support planning and logistics for programme activities and events
Candidate Requirements
- 2–3 years' nursery/primary school teaching experience
- A degree in Education or a related field (preferred, not mandatory)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders, including government officials
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working with minimal supervision to build a programme from scratch
- Strong written communication skills for reporting purposes
