As the Radio Station Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of the radio station. Your primary objective is to ensure the station's overall success, strategic growth, and adherence to organizational goals.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide strong leadership to the radio station team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide staff members, including on-air talent, producers, and administrative personnel.


Program Management:

  • Curate and manage the station's programming schedule, ensuring a diverse and engaging content mix that aligns with the target audience.
  • Collaborate with content creators, hosts, and producers to develop high-quality shows and maintain on-air excellence.


Budget Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the station's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness in all operations.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue generation, sponsorships, and partnerships to support financial sustainability.


Community Engagement:

  • Foster strong relationships with the local community, listeners, and stakeholders to enhance the station's presence and relevance.
  • Organize and participate in community events, promotions, and outreach activities to strengthen the station's ties with its audience.


Technical Operations:

  • Oversee technical aspects of broadcast operations, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to implement upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and stay abreast of industry advancements.


Compliance and Regulations:

  • Ensure that the station adheres to all relevant regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining legal and ethical standards in broadcasting practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and technological advancements impacting radio broadcasting.


Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies to increase listenership and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling campaigns that enhance the station's brand image.


Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze audience metrics, ratings, and feedback to assess the effectiveness of programming and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions regarding content, promotions, and audience engagement strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Media Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in radio station management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of radio broadcasting, programming, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions, solve problems, and drive the station's success.
