Job Title:Radio Jockey


Location:Remote


Employment Type: Full-time


Working Days: Monday - Saturday


Working Time :6am est - 3pm est.


About the Role:


We are looking for an energetic, creative, and relatable Radio Jockey to be the voice of our station. The RJ will host music shows, engage listeners, and create a fun, entertaining on-air experience that builds audience loyalty. If you have personality, great timing, and love connecting with people, this is for you.


Key Responsibilities:


On-Air Hosting


Host live music programs, request shows, countdowns, and entertainment segments


Introduce songs, artists, and station promos with energy and personality


Maintain smooth transitions between music, ads, jingles, and announcements


Manage live shows: timing, ad breaks, and technical cues


Content & Audience Engagement


Develop creative show ideas, topics, and banter that fit the station’s format


Engage listeners via phone-ins, SMS, WhatsApp, and social media during shows


Stay updated on music, pop culture, trends, and current affairs to keep content fresh


Represent the station at events, roadshows, and community activations


Production Support


Work with producers and sound engineers to ensure quality broadcast


Record voiceovers, promos, and station IDs


Adhere to NBC broadcasting code and station editorial guidelines


Required Qualifications & Skills


Education: OND/Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute


Experience: 3-5 years experience as an RJ, presenter, or content creator. Demo reel required


Voice & Delivery: Excellent diction, voice control, and strong on-air personality


Communication: Quick thinking, witty, and able to hold a conversation on-air


Music Knowledge: Good knowledge of Nigerian and international music trends


Tech Skills: Basic knowledge of broadcast software, mixers, and audio editing tools


Personality: Confident, outgoing, creative, and able to work flexible hours


Preferred Skills:


Active social media presence and ability to drive engagement


Experience with podcasting, digital content, or event hosting


Existing fan base/listener following is an added advantage


Working Conditions:


Shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays


Fast-paced studio environment with live broadcast demands
