Quantity Surveyor
Job summary
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates and budgets, and ensuring cost-effective project delivery. The role involves contract administration, cost control, valuation of works, and financial reporting while ensuring projects are completed within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Planning: Calculating quantities, labor, and materials from architectural drawings to create accurate budget projections.
- Tendering & Procurement: Preparing tender packages, bills of quantities (BOQ), and negotiating contracts to source materials and subcontractors.
- Valuation & Payment: Measuring and tracking work done on-site to verify progress and process payments to contractors and suppliers.
- Contract Administration & Change Management: Managing commercial risks and negotiating the financial impacts of design changes or scope variations.
- Financial Reporting: Providing senior stakeholders with regular forecasts, cost-to-complete reports, and final account settlements.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a minimum of HND/B.Sc in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Applicants must have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Applicants must have experience working with a contracting organization.
- Applicants must have strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Applicants must be able to prepare and analyze project costs and valuations.
- Applicants must possess good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Location: Lagos State (Mainland)
Remuneration: NGN 300,000 – 400,000
