Quantity Surveyor
Job summary
We seek an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with 3+ years’ experience to manage cost and commercial aspects of CTL Atlantis projects, from estimates to final accounts. You will ensure projects stay on budget, on schedule, and meet high-quality standards while working across multiple developments with the project team.

Responsibilities:
- Clear and structured communication; being able to present cost information confidently to project stakeholders.
- An interest in sustainable construction and eco-friendly development practices is an advantage
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities, cost plans, and estimates for new development projects at all stages.
- Conduct procurement activities, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and contractor recommendations.
- Assist the CEO in managing procurement processes to ensure timely sourcing, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Administer contracts and manage all commercial correspondence with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Carry out interim valuations and certify contractor payments in line with contract terms and project progress.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets, identify variances early, and report findings to the Construction Manager.
- Assess and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts to protect the company’s commercial position.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost records, reports, and commercial documentation throughout each project lifecycle.
- Support the Construction Manager in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or sustainability standards.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with relevant Nigerian construction regulations and contractual obligations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (minimum second class lower).
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduation experience in quantity surveying, with demonstrated exposure to building or property development projects.
- Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) or active progress toward registration.
- Proficiency in QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, AutoCAD for measurement, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.
- Ability to prepare and interpret Bills of Quantities, cost reports, and contract documents to a high standard.
- Good negotiation skills and a commercially focused mindset.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail across all cost and contract documents.
- Ability to manage commercial workstreams across multiple concurrent projects without losing quality.
- Confidence in challenging contractor claims and negotiating settlements firmly but professionally.
- Reliability around project milestones, particularly valuations, budget reporting, and final account deadlines.
- A collaborative approach - this role works closely with the Construction Manager, engineers, and external contractors.
- Willingness to work on-site when required to carry out measurements, inspections, and progress assessments
